As an avid ChatGPT user, (Yes, I pay for it.) my memory still gets full and sometimes I forget all the GOODNESS I have in the side bar of my chats.
Before I DTS*, this is what I do to extract all the save-able business info and shareable potential content ideas.
And while you are going through your Chats remember this:
Resist the temptation to start or complete chat convos!
This link will take you to my tweet on X that will also have a link to the FULL 10 minute video if the snippet piques your interest!
You can also reply, “CN Full Video” and I will shoot you the link to the full video.
Step 1: Ask, Is it worth saving?
The main thing that is worth saving is any business information, brand information, and offers for products or services.
Check out these three photos to see snippets of what kind of business information I was using Chat to generate for me.
In the last screenshot, it lists 6 businesses that are similar to Femway in different ways. A way I plan on taking this a step further, is creating a brand page for each one.
This page will have links to their websites, social medias, and information about the founder.
What important business information do you have in Chat that is worth saving?
Step 2: Ask, Is it worth Sharing?
The chats worth sharing are going to be turned into content. Usually it’s the chats where you are asking a question about your market, your industry, or your offer.
Here, I am structuring pages for a topic on Niche vs Nichless content. I have the ‘overview’ page or summary page. Which is linked to the Newsletter page that has a second version of the newsletter in a storytelling writing style.
I generated all this content by using my ChatGPT Bot, Spaces Outline Generator. I created this bot for easier long form content creation, such as; X articles, Blogs, Newsletters, X Spaces Scripts, etc.
Thankfully, Kit allows for you to test not only multiple subject lines for your emails but the content within the email also! Great for A/B testing. However, this is only available on pro accounts.
Step 3: Ask, Is It Worth Scraping?
Normally you would want to scrap old ideas or irrelevant business information. Mare sure you are reading through EVERYTHING in your chat before you decide to DTS.
When I go over my chats, I think:
- can this be used for proof of progress?
- do I need to save images?
- is there anything specific I can use before scraping?
Action Steps:
You can, set a timer for 30 minutes or set an amount of chats you want to audit. Little by little.
Don’t attempt to pick back up or finish a chat convo. Let it live how it is for now until you have completed moving all past Chats to a dedicated Notion page.
Why?
Because, even though it’s great to look at things with fresh eyes, you don’t want to get lost in a tangent. It’s best to set aside another time and date for the chats that spark the most interest.
What to do if a past chat sparks interest?
In the moment that I come up with content ideas or a particular topic makes me think of something I want to share, I pause and make a side comment with base info:
Topic / Main Point:
Format:
Questions about this topic:
Who would it be for:
Do you need to promo or premo:
What if you need help?
I’m all about making sure you have full understanding of the process. Also if you need help with coming up with content ideas, implementing the content, or creating the content you can set up a time for us to chat.
